The S&T Experience

Si Se Puede provides an authentic S&T experience by offering high school students the chance to reside in dormitories on campus. By immersing themselves in college life, participants can gain valuable insights into the vibrant atmosphere of the Missouri S&T community, forge connections with fellow participants, and envision their own future in higher education.

Explore Campus

Participants will have the opportunity to explore Missouri S&T’s cutting-edge facilities and departments. Guided tours take them through various departments, including engineering, computer science, chemistry, and more. By interacting with passionate faculty members, students can gain a deeper understanding of the diverse fields of study available at Missouri S&T, igniting their passion for STEM disciplines.

Hands-On Activities

Si Se Puede takes learning beyond the classroom by offering a range of hands-on activities. Students will have the chance to participate in unique experiences such as glass blowing and pouring aluminum casts in the foundry. These activities provide not only a memorable experience but also allow participants to witness the practical applications of scientific and engineering principles, inspiring them to pursue STEM paths.

Student Panel

One of the highlights of Si Se Puede is the student panel, where participants can engage in meaningful discussions with current members of the Missouri S&T SHPE chapter. This open forum encourages dialogue and provides students with the opportunity to ask questions about S&T, SHPE, and college life in general. The student panel serves as a valuable resource for students to gain insights from experienced individuals who have navigated the challenges of pursuing STEM education.
